Kids grow so fast – sometimes as a parent it’s hard to keep up with their ever changing likes and dislikes! What’s cool one day is totally over the next… Which can make coming up with bedroom decor ideas that both you and your child are happy with for a few years really challenging! Here are 5 kids bedroom ideas that I’ve put together to give you some inspiration:
1. Scandi Mountains
This idea for a kids bedroom is super-cute! You can create your mountains in a number of different ways, either by painting a feature wall or by wallpapering. If you paint the wall, you can go for any colours you like! You can also alter the look depending on the age of your child. Here are a few examples:

For a slightly more grown-up kids bedroom idea, you could go for a more grown up style of mural like this one from ‘The Decorologist’. There is also a lovely tutorial for how to achieve the look on the website too:

There are lots of ways that you can further incorporate this theme through the decor in the room. For example over at Pages of Emma’s blog, she has done an amazing upcycle of a set of Ikea drawers for her son’s scandi-themed room:

Another idea for a super-cute kids bedroom theme is ‘jungle’. There are some amazing wallpapers available to create this look on a feature wall:
You can team this look with some great accessories; think natural wood furnishings, natural wicker lampshades, animal print rugs and bold animal artwork:

To complete the look, go for simple furnishings, either white or natural woods, in keeping with the scandi feel. Soften it with a fluffy rug or throw and maybe some cute art work:

4. Butterflies and Insects
I love this idea as it can be super-soft and girly, or it can be quite subtle and grown-up, for example as in this bedroom designed by Nicole Hollis:
